Lake to Sound SLP
Vanessa Dopker, MS, CCC-SLP
Pediatric speech and language therapy services between Lake Washington and Puget Sound in Seattle, Washington.
About
Hi, my name is Vanessa! I am a pediatric speech-language pathologist based in Seattle.
I am driven by the belief that every child deserves the opportunity to communicate effectively with their loved ones and community. Since 2015, I have had the privilege of working with children ages 0 through 21 in both a large public school district and an Early Supports for Infants and Toddlers agency. I take pride in creating individualized, evidence-based therapy plans that focus on building skills, fostering confidence and enhancing each child's ability to connect with the world around them.

An effective speech and language therapy treatment plan begins with a comprehensive evaluation. Assessments are tailored to address specific area(s) of communication need, such as:

receptive/expressive language
social communication
stuttering
augmentative and alternative communication (AAC)

Speech and language therapy sessions are as unique as each and every child. My practice is guided by the principle that speech and language therapy should ultimately help an individual participate more successfully in their every day routines, whether that be play, academics or placing an order for food!
Sessions may be held at home or in the community, within Seattle, Wash. city limits or by telehealth.
$130, 50 minutes

I am happy to support families navigating IDEA, including review of evaluations/IEPs and attendance at IEP meetings.

How to get started
If you are interested in services, the first step is to schedule an initial phone call to learn more about your family’s concerns and goals. Based on this conversation, we will determine if my services are well-matched to your family’s needs.
Then, if your family is interested in initiating services, we will schedule an initial evaluation. If your child was recently evaluated elsewhere in the last 12 months, I may be able to use that evaluation to determine therapy goals instead.
