Vanessa Dopker, MS, CCC-SLP

Mobile outpatient pediatric speech and language therapy services in Seattle, Washington, between Lake Washington and Puget Sound.

About

Hi, my name is Vanessa! I am a pediatric speech-language pathologist based in Seattle.

I am driven by the belief that every child deserves the opportunity to connect and communicate effectively with their loved ones and community. Since 2015, I have practiced as a speech-language pathologist in various settings, including a large public school district, an Early Supports for Infants and Toddlers agency, and, most recently, an outpatient hospital clinic. I take pride in creating individualized, evidence-based therapy plans that build skills, foster confidence, and enhance each child's ability to connect with the world around them.

Services

At this time, I cannot bill insurance and accept private pay only. A superbill may be provided upon request, which can be used to submit to your insurance for out-of-network reimbursement.

  • An effective speech and language therapy treatment plan begins with a comprehensive evaluation. Assessments are tailored to address specific areas of communication needs, such as:

    • Articulation and phonology

    • Receptive and expressive language

    • Social communication

    • Stuttering

    • Motor speech

    • Augmentative and alternative communication (AAC)

$350 per evaluation (1–2 hours, depending on scope).

  • Speech and language therapy sessions are as unique as each child. My practice is guided by the principle that speech and language therapy should ultimately help individuals participate more successfully in their everyday routines and activities—whether that means playing, engaging in academics, or ordering food.

Sessions may take place at home, in the community (within Seattle city limits), or via telehealth.

    $130 per 50-minute session.

  • I am available to consult with families on specific communication concerns and to support them in navigating IDEA, including reviewing evaluations and IEPs and attending IEP meetings.

$100 per hour (prorated as needed).

How to get started

If you are interested in services, the first step is to schedule an initial phone call to discuss your family’s concerns and goals. Based on this conversation, we will determine whether my services are a good match for your family’s needs.

If you decide to move forward, we will schedule an initial evaluation. However, if your child has been evaluated elsewhere within the past 12 months, I may be able to use that evaluation to determine therapy goals instead.
